Why the Ford family built Organized.health
We built the app we'd been asking somebody else to build. Organized.health keeps a whole medical life in one place — records, medications, symptoms, appointments, and the people who help you get there. That's the app. Here's why it exists.
Ten years of clipboards
You know the clipboard. You fill in the same twelve fields you filled in last month, at the same office, and then you go back and say all of it out loud again anyway, because nobody read it. Do that for a decade and it stops being funny. It's not that anyone in that building doesn't care — it's that the system they work inside was never designed around the person holding the clipboard.
Salicia lives with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, gastroparesis and complex autoimmune disease. Over the years that's meant extended hospital stays, home health we ran ourselves, IV supplies and medication inventory tracked on paper in a kitchen drawer, and one memorable day of more than seventy phone calls to get a single surgery approved. Somewhere in all of that we stopped waiting for a tool and started keeping our own records — first in spreadsheets, then in something that actually worked.
That's what this is. Not a product idea somebody pitched. A system a family built to survive, cleaned up enough to hand to you.
The family

Where the two merged
A compliance company and a patient family, in the same house.
Joshua spent years building HIPAA-compliant software for other people through HIPAAsoft — custom EHRs, secure infrastructure, the training course for developers who want in. Salicia spent those same years living the exact problem that software kept failing to solve. It took us longer than it should have to notice those were the same project.
